The word Allah is unique in Arabic. However, the word Khuda in Persian/ Urdu seems (to me) as if it is describing the essential quality of Allah that He came by Himself (KHUD + AA)
I am encouraged by similar meaning from the Sanskrit word ‘swastika’, meaning swayam+ ast) He came in to existence Himself. Although the word swastika is used for the symbol
(卍 and 卐) that is common both for the Nazis and for the Hindus/ Buddhists, it probably stood first for God.

On the other hand, the Sikhs say, “Jo bole so nihal, Sat Sri Akal.” Timeless is He and any one who accepts this true fact will be saved.

Sharmishtha, thanks for liking and commenting. Om is a very misterious word that has next no meaning and has all the meaning inherent in it at the same time. ॐ has been inspiring me for a long time.

Thanks peace ji. Like you and me, a vast majority of people are peaceful and understand the co-existence. it is the politicians and some self styled mullahs/gurus that use sensitivities and flare emotions and using hired gundas to stir trouble. We will do well if we can stay sane ourselves and then hopefully things can get better.
